  • Christmas
    Christmas is a season for giving and receiving gifts. We give gifts with affection to our family and friends and we share what we have with others.
  • Hanukkah
    Hanukkah, Festival of Lights, is celebrated as the victory of the Jews over the tyrant Antiochus.
  • Kwanzaa
    Kwanzaa is a "celebration of family, community, and culture." I is a holiday in which Afican Americans and Africans can celebrate their heritage.
  • Mothers Day
    Mothers Day is an annual tradition on the second Sunday in May. Women who have served as mother figures in the lives of children are honored.
  • Fathers Day
    Fathers Day is the third Sunday in June. It is a day to honor and commemorate the memory of fathers.
  • Valentine Day
    Valentine Day is the most romantic day of the year, next to the wedding day. Its symbols include Cupid and the heart.
  • Anniversary
    An anniversary gift is given as a token of love and affection and is usually exchanged between couples.
  • Baby Shower
    When you are invited to a baby shower, a gift for the newborn is appropriate. You may also consider a personal gift for the mother-to-be.
  • Birthday
    Birthday celebrations are universal. However, there are variations in different countries. In the U. S. we celebrate the day we were born.
  • Boss Day
    National Boss Day was created by Patricia Haroski to honor bosses. She chose her father's birthday as the date to be observed.
  • Easter
    Easter Sunday is the first Sunday after the full moon or the next Sunday after the vernal equinox. It is celebrated by Christians as the day Christ was resurrected from the dead.
  • Graduation
    Graduation from high school or college is a major milestone in a young person's life.
  • Retirement
    Retirement is a choice for most individuals when they reach a certain age and want to spend time doing what they enjoy most.
  • Wedding
    Wedding gifts are given on the occasion of a marriage to help a couple start their new life together.
